There are seasons when nothing seems to be happening above the surface.
And yet, beneath it, something is restoring itself.
Stillwater is an evening devoted to that quieter kind of growth... the kind that happens when we stop reaching, stop striving, and become still enough to notice what is already here.
Through botanical storytelling, traditional herbal wisdom, reflection, tea, and guided presence, we’ll explore the space between doing and being, seeking and receiving, holding and releasing.
This is the second gathering in our Garden Within series, but each gathering is designed to stand on its own. You do not need to have attended the first workshop to join us for Stillwater. There is no previous knowledge or experience required, and no one arrives behind. Wherever you enter the garden, you begin exactly where you are.
The Botanical Companions
Throughout the evening, we'll explore the symbolism, folklore, traditional herbal uses, and relationship with the human body of four botanical companions:
Skullcap · Lemon Balm · Lavender · Gotu Kola
We'll experience these plants not simply as things to learn about, but as companions through which we can consider our own relationship with stillness, gentleness, receptivity, and attentive awareness.
The evening's botanical teachings will be accompanied by a tasting of our handcrafted Stillwater tincture, created with these four plants as a botanical expression of the evening's theme.
Your Evening Includes
• A thoughtfully prepared herbal tea
• A guided exploration of Skullcap, Lemon Balm, Lavender & Gotu Kola as botanical companions
• A tasting of our handcrafted Stillwater tincture
• A guided visualization through the Garden Within
• Quiet journaling with thoughtfully curated reflection prompts
• An optional community sharing circle
• A small keepsake to carry a little piece of the evening home with you.
The Garden Within is also a practice of putting something down on paper.
Journaling is an important part of each Garden Within gatheing. You are welcome to bring your own favorite journal, or you may choose to add one of our beautiful Tree of Life journals to your ticket.
If you choose a journal, it will be waiting for you when you arrive, and you can choose whichever color you're most drawn to that evening.
There is no right way to journal here. You won't be asked to write beautifully, uncover some profound revelation, or share anything you don't wish to share.
The pages are simply a place to become a little more attentive to what is already moving within you.
Come exactly as you are.
No previous experience with herbs, meditation, or journaling is needed.
You don't need to arrive peaceful.
You don't need to arrive inspired.
You don't need to have anything figured out.
Simply bring a willingness to slow down, comfortable clothing, and your favorite journal (unless you plan to choose one of ours when you arrive).
For this gathering, seating is intentionally limited so that we can preserve the peaceful, intimate atmosphere that makes Garden Within what it is.
Come sit beside the water.
Perhaps, when the surface becomes still enough, you'll notice something that was there all along.
Stillness isn’t the absence of life.
Sometimes, it is the condition that allows something else to become perceptible: wonder, receptivity, connection, enoughness, beauty, and a recognition of the abundance that was already present
